When you are preparing for an interview, it is wise to know the main typical interview questions that are asked in attempts to deliver the best possible answer to your future employer. Not all of the questions will actually be questions, some may be statements that allow you to elaborate about your experiences and knowledge.
There are two types of questions that can be asked during your interview: open-ended questions and closed-ended questions. Open-ended questions allow you to talk extensively about your past and anything else you want to mention. Open-ended questions completely drive the interview and if you receive alot of these types of questions from your potential employer, then that is a good sign that they are sincerely interested in you and your set of background skills. This means that they are seriously considering you for the job.
The other type of question that you may get asked are closed-ended questions. These types of questions usually require just a simply yes or no answer. An example of a closed-ended question is, “Did you take ________ class in college?”
Of course if you are savvy and love to converse with people, you could easily turn this closed-ended questions into an interesting conversion, but most times the employer will just expect a yes or no answer for these types of questions. If you are in an interview and the person interviewing you asks alot of closed-ended questions, beware because this means that they are not too interested in hearing you talk and possibly they are not considering hiring you for the position.
